plrom#

This theme is very personalized. Many times, the content I like may not be suitable for others. After all, it is closely related to my experiences and background. However, I hope to list some things that I think are good to inspire you.

Generally speaking, I subscribe to the people or organizations in the following list via RSS and read almost every post.
The order is not important, purely based on my mood.

People#

Some people who are not convenient to disclose, I won't write here; the hidden limit is 100.

📚 Tech Bloggers#

  • 阮一峰 - His technology enthusiast weekly is a must-read for me every week. The articles are easy to understand, especially suitable for beginners.
  • DIYgod - Whether it's RSSHub or XLog, they are full of warmth and humanity. How can you not like them?

✍️ Writers#

  • 六神磊磊 - I won't talk much about his reviews of Jin Yong. "Tang Poetry: The Cambrian Period" is easy to read, as if savoring a martial arts novel.
  • 沃尔特・艾萨克森 - The author of the biographies of Steve Jobs and Elon Musk. His biographies are the best I have ever read.
  • 住野夜 - It's been a long time since he had a new work, to the point where I almost forgot. He peaked at debut, and the ratings of his later works dropped, but I still really like them.
  • 阿尔贝・加缪 - Although I didn't quite understand "The Myth of Sisyphus," I was deeply shocked. I especially liked the definitions and statements about absurdity in it. (Later, I realized that absurdity is the "nothingness" fate in "崩铁.")
  • 卡夫卡 - Just "The Metamorphosis" alone made me curious about his works.
  • 钱钟书 - When I first read "Fortress Besieged," I thought it was about 72 techniques for picking up girls~~.
  • 刘慈欣 - "The Three-Body Problem" was the first time I learned what hard science fiction is.
  • 榎宮祐 - The author of "NO GAME NO LIFE," I have already bought a set.
  • 陈忠实 - "White Deer Plain" can be said to be China's "One Hundred Years of Solitude."

🎨 Comic Artists#

For comic artists, I try to list their X accounts. Generally, the authors marked here usually have more than one work. I will follow their subsequent works.

  • 石黑正数 - The author of "Heaven's Great Demon Realm," the story is very worth pondering. I have read each of his works at least twice.
  • 山田中人 - The author of "The Funeral of Furen," although the fight scenes are comparable to PPT, his story feels very interesting to me.
  • 七尾七希 - Who says "Hero Heruku" is a comedy? It tortures me to death~~.
  • 谏山创 - Everyone thinks it ended poorly, but I actually think its ending should be like that in a certain sense.
  • 大暮维人 - His art style is unique. As long as it's not an original work he wrote, the comics are all very good. For example, "Monogatari" and "Abyss Fusion."
  • one - The original author of "One Punch Man," along with "Mob Psycho 100," I think even with just line art, his style is very good.
  • 木城幸人 - "Battle Angel Alita" taught me what cyberpunk is.
  • 藤本树 - A genius writer, whose plots are always unpredictable. I really want to give him a fiery punch.
  • 八木教広 - The difference between awakeners and humans in "Great Sword" is really worth pondering. Very subtle.
  • 冈本伦 - The current "Parallel Paradise" has reached a level of bizarre plot~~.
  • 荒木飛呂彥 - Who just mentioned JOJO?
  • 市川春子 - "Land of the Lustrous" might be my favorite work during college.
  • 大武政夫 - "Superpower Daughter" really hits my funny bone every episode~~.
  • 富坚义博 - The worldview of "Hunter" is really rich. I think every one of his works is worth a look.
  • 奈央晃德 - I didn't know that Nao Akinari's "Seven Magic Users" is still being drawn, and it's already 31 volumes. This is a simultaneous release of two monthly comics, "I Stand Above a Million Lives" is also drawn by him, and the art style is quite recognizable; the male protagonist looks the same~~.
  • 赤坂明 - The author of "My Favorite Child" and "Kaguya-sama: Love Is War," his works are very interesting, especially "My Favorite Child." (Definitely because of the elements added by Yokoyama Moka.)
  • 石田スイ - "Tokyo Ghoul" was my favorite manga during high school. Back then, I had to borrow a classmate's phone to watch it late at night on Sundays. The work deceives with a dark art style, and the protagonist is always tortured to bits.
  • 走马灯 - The author of "Shadow House," how can Emily be so cute?
  • 创山谏 - The author of "Attack on Titan," I think his works are among the best I have ever seen.
  • 矢澤愛 - The author of "NANA," I no longer get tangled in the love between Nana and Hachi.

Comic Originals

  • 山川直輝 - The original author of "My Home Hero" and "I Stand Above a Million Lives," the story is very interesting, but it carries a lot of political concepts. Both works' animations were poorly received.
  • 舞城王太郎 - The setting is very interesting, but the story is just so-so. He is the original author of "Invasion of the Other Dimension" and "Abyss Fusion."

🎨 Doujin Artists#

How could I possibly talk about this in such detail? This chapter is for everyone to understand.

Are you an 18-year-old boy?
  • あいらんどう - FBI open the door!!! This artist's art style is so sultry; I really like the way he draws little sisters.
  • 師走の翁 - Besides the idol work, I think the others are average. "Celestial Beach" should be his most famous work, and there's also an anime.
  • zerodo - Mainly the common sense change series, which contains various idol-related plots.
  • 満開開花 - I basically like every work of his; he is most famous for the Hypnosis Family series.
  • あやかわりく - I just found out that he is the illustrator for "Magical Gear Academy H×H." His series about lustful magic eyes is quite interesting and is still being updated.
  • 赤月みゅうと - "Slave Rabbit" should be considered a household name. I think about half of his works are quite good.
  • ゼロの者 - This artist might be relatively niche, and there isn't much translation material. Mainly creates works with incest themes, and the art style has a retro feel with strange proportions. I particularly like his little sister writer series. (He was born in 1974, already 50 years old, which might make it difficult for him to draw.)
  • あきのそら - The author of the "Otherworldly Song" series, his art style is outstanding, especially in certain details. I usually read every work seriously, and the one I read the most is "Sister Season."
  • 大嘘 - 大嘘's legs should also be a household name, but the only one I like is that airplane cup series.
  • 八尋ぽち - The art style is quite good, but the only series that left a deep impression on me is the black magic one.
  • 角煮煮 - His common sense change series is also very interesting; basically, every work is quite good.

🎬 Directors#

  • 今敏 - Unfortunately, I got to know him too late.
  • 李安 - I was shocked when I watched "Life of Pi" this year.
  • 宫崎骏 - I can't believe I've only seen "Spirited Away" and "My Neighbor Totoro," and I still have to watch the rest.
  • 新海诚 - My favorite is "5 Centimeters Per Second."
  • 克里斯托弗・诺兰 - It feels like every film has a certain narrative trick in it.
  • 丹尼斯・维伦纽瓦 - I've only seen "Blade Runner 2049" and "Dune," but I haven't watched "The Scorched Earth."
  • 姜文 - "Let the Bullets Fly" is one of the few domestic films that I think is good.

🎬 UP 主 & YouTubers#

  • Fuji_玫瑰叔 - Initially reviewing "Ice and Fire," then "The Three-Body Problem," "Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils," and now "The Heaven Sword and Dragon Saber." My must-follow UP 主 every week. The advantage of watching his reviews is that you can gain deep insights without reading the original work to a certain extent. He spent 12 hours just discussing "The Three-Body Problem."
  • 马刀刻森 - An UP 主 who creates original animations. His animations are very interesting and full of jokes.
  • 老懂是我了_DongGaming - Friends who play 崩铁 should really check out his analysis; he really knows his stuff.
  • 罗翔说刑法 - Still need to understand some of it.
  • 天真的和感伤的小说家 - A well-known UP 主 in the literary genre.
  • 三個字 SunGuts - His video content mainly focuses on popular science about everyday body aches and shares simple detection methods and self-rescue techniques. I have followed along to change some daily postures and bad exercise habits.
  • 孫沁岳 - A YouTuber dedicated to comic reviews.

🛩️ TG Groups#

🎙️ Podcasts#

  • 忽左忽右 - The topics they discuss are very interesting, but mainly I haven't listened enough to judge for now.
  • 科学史评话 - Talks about the history of science, which is actually very interesting.
  • 科学有故事 - Possibly the best popular science host in the country, the content is very easy to understand, and he genuinely wants to teach children scientific thinking.
  • 纵横四海 - "To make a user manual that everyone needs." I haven't listened much, but starting from her emotional episode, it felt quite good.
  • 原来是这样 Dscience - A very host-like popular science podcast.
  • 大老李聊数学 - Talking about mathematics in such an interesting way is really impressive, especially my favorite episode is about the super permutation number in "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya."

🎤 Singers & Music Producers#

I really know nothing about this area, so I'll just list a few.

  • Garoad - The soundtrack producer for VA-11 HALL-A, very suitable for listening while working. (What bartender playlist~~)
  • YOASOBI - I realized their existence through the OP of "The Funeral of Furen," and then I started listening to their songs. (Will there be a chance to hear them live at a music festival?)
  • Keiichi Okabe - The soundtrack producer for "NieR: Automata." You could say that the music alone makes this game worth it.
  • RADWIMPS - The soundtrack producer for "Your Name," their music is really good, especially "Zen Zen Zense." The music for "Weathering With You" and "Suzume's Journey" is also by them. Founded in 2001, the band's name is composed of "Rad" and "wimps," where "Rad" comes from "radical," meaning "cool, awesome," and "wimps" means "coward," which can be understood as "very cool cowards, very useful bastards."
  • iri - Her voice has a unique charm—hoarse yet magnetic. My friend thinks her voice is similar to Mika Nakashima. I met her at a music festival.
  • yama - The insert song "Oz." from "Ranking of Kings" is her work. I also met her at a music festival.
  • Queen Bee - Queen Bee's music style is flamboyant and unique, rooted in punk while blending elements of Japanese folk songs, trap, funk, folk, and disco. I started getting into them through the theme songs of "Dororo" and "InuYasha." In fact, I initially attended this music festival for Queen Bee and YOASOBI, while iri and yama were delightful surprises for me.
  • Aimer - She has sung theme songs for many anime, dramas, and movies, including the famous "BLEACH," "Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works]," "Natsume's Book of Friends," etc. I was introduced to her by friends at a music festival.

🛍️ Taobao Shop Owners#

  • 肥王书店 - Mainly sells Taiwanese comics and light novels. I think I've been buying books from him for seven or eight years, and I place orders with him every year.
  • 优衣库官方旗舰店 - Most of my clothes are bought here...
  • hopi - A place to buy figures, but I can't even buy one a year.
  • achobby - Body pillows? Who would buy body pillows? Haha, haha, haha.
  • 梦百合官方旗舰店 - This brand's mattress is quite good, although I haven't bought other brands.

Organizations or Communities#

I try to provide their RSS subscription addresses, and many should come from RSSHub. Since I couldn't think of a category all at once, I just put them all together.

🏢 Organizations#

  • The Cloudflare Blog - First of all, Cloudflare's documentation is very user-friendly (compared to ali/aws), and their blog is also very interesting and worth reading.
  • Node.js Blog - As a Node.js developer, I think this blog is a must-subscribe.
  • 读库 - I don't know how to introduce it~ It can be understood as a publisher, mainly a magazine published annually? Every few months, each issue is carefully selected and published with rich non-fiction works. I have been continuously subscribed to 读库 for five years. (However, the number of books I haven't finished is also increasing.)
  • RSSHub - A heavy user of RSS, I subscribe to daily news and blogs through it.

🏢 Game & Animation Companies#

  • 板机社 (TRIGGER) - Unique art style and quality; basically, everything they produce is worth watching and is very good. (By the way, I almost thought "Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann" was also theirs. It turns out it was a work from their old employer.)
  • 京都动画 - Also a company whose every work is worth watching.
  • 香草社 - I played "Odin Sphere," and the art is really top-notch.

📰 Tech News#

  • Hacker News - As a programmer, I think this website is a must-subscribe.
  • SuperTechFans - Generates Chinese AI summaries of Hacker News's daily hot articles. Feels pretty good.
  • HelloGitHub - Used to check for new open-source projects.

Items#

💻 Computers and Accessories#

  • MacBook Air (M1, 2020) - A computer that has grown with me, with 16G RAM and 512G SSD, it's perfect.
  • Filco 圣手 2 代双模机械键盘 - Initially used for coding, but after using the MacBook, it has gathered dust.
  • Raspberry Pi 4 Model B - 8G RAM, used for making some small gadgets. Connected to a 2T hard drive for storing AutoBangumi's animations.
  • Apple Watch Series 7 - Some things feel lacking when you don't have them, but when you actually get them, you realize they seem to not exist in your life~~.
  • AirTag - Bought a four-piece set, still very useful (self-satisfied🤣).
  • Logitech MX Master 3 - I had high expectations when I bought it, but now it has gathered dust; I basically only use the laptop's touchpad. Because when using a mouse, my right hand has to switch frequently, which actually affects efficiency. (But maybe I can use it while playing games on the Steam Deck.)
  • 西部数据 (WD) 2TB 移动硬盘 USB 3.0 - For a while, it was used to back up my MacBook Air's data, but it often slowed down and even froze my computer, so I changed its use. Now it's used for storing AutoBangumi's animations.

📱 Phones and Tablets#

  • iPhone 14 pro - 256G, completely overkill for my personal use. Actually, I prefer the SE series.
  • iPad Pro (2021) M1 11 inches - 256G, used for reading comics, and reading comics, and reading comics. Occasionally used as a secondary screen for the MacBook.
  • Boox Leaf - Tachiyomi launcher. Although the reading experience is still quite inferior to Kindle, it's better than reading on an Android phone.
  • Kindle Paperwhite 4 - Combined with mox.moe to transform into a comic reader, but since Kindle left the mainland, I haven't used it for two years because I need a proxy to go online, and I also bought an e-ink screen reader later I want to give it away.

🎧 Headphones and Speakers#

  • AirPods Pro2 - Unfortunately, I am already on my third pair of AirPods Pro; the first two were washed in the washing machine, and now I don't dare to put them in my pants pocket.
  • Sony WH-XB910N - I don't know if it's because it's not a flagship model, but I find it uncomfortable to wear for long periods, especially since it presses against my glasses. However, the sound quality is still good, and the noise-canceling effect of over-ear headphones is better than AirPods Pro 2. I don't use it often because I find it inconvenient, even considering selling it.
  • Sony WI-1000X - Noise-canceling headphones, I think the noise-canceling effect is better than AirPods Pro. I bought this during college for a "heavy price," and it accompanied me through some important years. It hasn't even been three years, and it was damaged during the warranty period due to perceived factors. The remains are still here. The advantage of this neckband-style headphones is that I won't accidentally throw them into the washing machine~~.
  • 小爱智能音箱 - Also an essential device, used to control various smart home devices at home. However, I hardly use it to listen to music.

🎮 Gaming and Entertainment Devices#

  • Nintendo Switch 续航版 - My first gaming console, Japanese version, initially bought to play Animal Crossing.
  • xbox series s - My second gaming console, bought for Xbox Game Pass, but after buying it, I didn't want to play because there were too many games, just like how a long TODO list can demotivate you. I want to sell it.
  • Steam Deck - My third gaming console. Initially, I wanted to use it as a server, but I found it basically can't run for long periods, so I switched back to the Raspberry Pi.
  • Apple TV 4K - Combined with Infuse, it's the main player at home, but I rarely watch TV, mainly for my parents who live far away.

🔋 Charging#

💤 Sleep#

  • 安耳悠 隔音耳塞 - During high school, I was mentally tense, making me sensitive to sound, so I wear them while sleeping. Until two years ago, I would even lose sleep if I didn't wear them at night, waking up to the sound of my own turning. Now I can sleep without them.

❄️ 💧 Temperature and Humidity Control#

  • 米家落地扇 - Used during summer, but often not enough, so I still turn on the air conditioning.
  • 小米直流变频两季扇 (Tower Fan, Black) - I regret buying it; I shouldn't have thought of using it in winter. Also, it's not enough in summer; I still need to buy an air conditioner~~.
  • 米家电子温湿度计 Pro - I just realized that the humidity in Guangdong is really high, basically above 80%.
  • 小米抽湿机 13L - It's larger and heavier than I imagined, and it does make noise. At first, I thought it was useless until I went to empty the water. To reduce the humidity from 80% to 60%, I felt like I had to empty countless times~~.

💺 Desks and Chairs#

  • 八九间 U5 人体工学电脑椅 - It's not tiring to sit all day, but after trying the ergonomic chair from IKEA that costs 1700, I realized this one isn't as comfortable. If my back is straight, it can't fit snugly against my back; I have to actively lean back to touch it.
  • 梦百合(MLILY)零压床垫 15020010cm - I've had it for two years, and it's still very comfortable. I bought one for both home and dormitory, improving my sleep quality UP UP (maybe because I haven't used a better mattress).

🔦 Lighting#

  • Yeelight 智能床头灯 D2 - Initially used to experience HomeKit, the light is very soft. However, it doesn't serve much purpose and is quite expensive.
  • 米家 LED 智能台灯 - Absolutely a magical device; after using it, I hardly turn on the ceiling light in my dorm room. It works with Xiao Ai to turn on and off at will.

🍳 Cooking#

  • 米家智能 IH 电饭煲 3L - I regret buying such a small one; I don't want to cook when it's just me. But when there are more people, the capacity is insufficient (probably just enough for three people)~~.

💆 Massage#

Software Tools#

> Command Line Tools (CLI)#

Actually, there are too many; I'll just pick the 20 I use the most.

  • Homebrew - A package manager for installing various software; if you're using MacOS, it's basically a must-install.
  • x-cmd - A product from my company, a tool that is worth a hundred commands. In one sentence, it's [ ash, dash, bash, zsh ] * ( asdf + oh-my-zsh + tldr + gh/gt/gl client + ... ).
  • git - As a programmer, if you don't know how to use git, that's really embarrassing.
  • wrangler (Cloudflare) - A command-line tool for developing Cloudflare Workers.
  • docker - A tool for developing and deploying containerized applications; it's also a basic software that you can't do without.
  • frp - A tool for internal network penetration; I use it to expose my Raspberry Pi so that ServerCat can connect. (Cloudflare Tunnel can't connect.)
  • hurl - A tool for testing HTTP requests.
  • markdown-link-check - A tool for checking whether links in markdown files are valid. The links in this article are mainly checked using it.
  • zsh-fzf-history-search - A tool for using fzf to search command history in zsh.
  • rsync - A command for file synchronization between servers. Most Linux systems come with it; I rely on it for file transfers between servers. My favorite parameters are -acvP.
  • rclone - A tool for transferring local files to cloud storage. Those who have used cloud products like S3, R2, OSS, etc., should have used it to some extent.
  • imagemagick - A command-line tool for processing images; I mainly use it to batch convert image formats.
  • ffmpeg - A command-line tool for processing videos; simple video slicing, transcoding, and other operations can be done with it.
  • ollama - A tool for conveniently running LLM locally; of course, whether the computer's performance is sufficient is another question.

📝 Text Editors & IDEs#

  • VS Code - It has become my all-in-one editor; I use it for developing any language.
    • GitHub Copilot - An almost indispensable plugin; I've gotten used to its presence. When can I also ride on popular open-source projects and use it for free?
    • GitLens - A plugin for viewing git history; its blame feature is very useful, allowing you to see who wrote the code at a glance during team collaboration.
    • shellcheck - A plugin for checking shell scripts, especially useful for checking which syntax is not POSIX compliant. This is very helpful when writing various shell-compatible syntax.
    • indent-rainbow - A plugin for displaying indentation. Mainly looks good and can also be used to check whether the code's indentation is consistent.
    • NewLine - A plugin for adding a blank line at the end of files. As for why to add a blank line, refer to this article.
    • markdownlint - A plugin for checking markdown syntax. However, since it's a linter, I don't think there's anything particularly noteworthy; generally, every language should have a corresponding linter.
  • neoVim - As someone who isn't used to using native vim, is it too radical to use neovim to replace vscode? However, I can't list all the configurations and plugins I use here; I can only list about 20 plugins. Later, I'll update it to my neovim-config. My M1 AIR lags when using it, and it's really difficult to get started, so I temporarily gave up.
    • lazyvim - I mainly use lazyvim to configure my neovim plugins.
    • Copilot | LazyVim - The first must-install plugin is also the Copilot plugin; I've reached a point where I can't code without it.
    • autoime.nvim - Automatically uses im-select to switch your input method to English. Avoids frequently switching the input method from Chinese to English to enter vim commands.
  • Obsidian - A software for writing diaries and notes; during my daily dual-screen work, one screen is often occupied by Obsidian. Whenever I have an idea, I write it down immediately. It's commonly used for writing less technical articles. (Technical articles are generally written directly in markdown in vscode.)
    • obsidian-linter - A plugin for formatting markdown; however, I think its functionality is still not perfect, and sometimes it has some strange issues.
    • obsidian-git - A plugin for syncing Obsidian notes to a git repository. One issue with using Obsidian is that it lacks version control; many times, I write records and make edits, causing some historical thoughts to be lost. So I use this plugin.
    • obsidian-pinboard-sync - A plugin for syncing Pinboard bookmarks to Obsidian diaries. Mainly to be able to search for my previous bookmarks and corresponding comments in Obsidian.
    • obsidian-image-auto-upload-plugin - A plugin for automatically uploading images in Obsidian to an image hosting service.

📈 Productivity Tools#

  • OpenCat Pro(¥38) - Used as a desktop client for ChatGPT because I can't use Plus on the web, so I can only use GPT-4 through it. (Of course, you can also use DeepSeek.)
  • Alfred - Initially used for its clipboard history feature, but after using Raycast, I don't use it much anymore; it has been replaced, especially since it costs money. However, its search function is still very useful.
  • Raycast - Everyone says it's good; it has a beautiful interface. I now rely on it for various desktop operations. The clipboard history feature is almost a must-have tool.
  • ServerCat(¥38) - Like OpenCat above, it's a work by the well-known developer Baye. Used to check the status of servers.
  • align(limited free) - A window management tool designed specifically for macOS, I got it during a limited free period. At first, I thought it was useless because I mostly use multiple desktops instead of multiple windows, until I used a 4K monitor~~.
  • keybr.com - A website I use to practice typing.

⚙️ Automation#

  • n8n - Used for some automation tasks, such as syncing data from RSSHub to a Telegram channel. (Oops, now niracler no longer has a channel.)
  • ifttt - Initially used to sync content to a Telegram channel, but later found n8n to be more useful, so I stopped using it. (The key is that the paid version is quite expensive.)
  • zapier - Same as above, both are similar tools, and I no longer use them.

💰 Finance#

  • YNAB($100/y) - Used for monthly budget planning, alleviating my illusion of "seemingly endless money."

📷 Image Processing#

💾 Cloud Storage#

  • iCloud(¥68/m) - After fully utilizing the Apple ecosystem, iCloud shows its super connectivity value. Mainly used to back up Obsidian notes and various files.
  • 阿里云盘(¥168/y) - Now mainly used to store movies and shows, and I watch them through Infuse, generally able to utilize full bandwidth. I have a yearly membership.
  • 夸克云盘 - Used to store some less important files, mainly given by Taobao's 88 membership.
  • 百度网盘 - Used to download various H games in the past, but now the censorship is getting stricter, so I hardly use it anymore.
  • 坚果云 - Used to sync projects across multiple computers during early college, but after using git, I don't use it much anymore.

🌐 Browsers#

  • Safari - How should I put it? I used Chrome for a long time, then Arc for a long time, and finally, I chose Safari based on Occam's razor. There are too many tabs to open, so I switched back to Arc.
    • bookmarker for pinboard - Used to add the current page to Pinboard.
    • 1Password for Safari - A password manager; I have disabled Safari's native autofill.
    • AdGuard for Safari - An ad blocker, but I haven't used it for long enough to experience the difference between it and uBlock Origin.
    • Immersive Translation - Used for translation; I can't live without it. My favorite color is #FB8F68.
  • Arc - My current main browser. I can use two workspaces as separate profiles, one for work and one for life, effectively separating my identities.

💬 Communication Tools#

  • Telegram - The TG channel serves as a place for my personal musings and daily life rants, a way to vent my "nearly 2000 messages in a year" chatty nature. X has a similar effect, but for someone like me who is somewhat socially anxious, messaging on X feels like shouting in a square, which makes me feel extremely embarrassed. On the TG channel, "shouting" feels like being at home, where only the neighbors can hear, making it a bit more comfortable for me. Everyone is welcome to visit my channel, although there isn't much in-depth content Tomoko RD.
  • X - Still not quite used to it~~.
  • Discord - I hardly use it, but many open-source communities communicate here, and I mainly go there to report bugs.
  • Fastmail($50/y) - Random anonymous email is a great tool for anti-tracking. Now I try to use the randomly generated emails from Fastmail for registration on various websites (it's very convenient when linked with 1Password).
  • 微信 - Used to contact family and friends, but I hardly check Moments 99% of the time, nor do I post. I occasionally check public accounts, but I need to remove some friends.

🔑 Privacy and Security#

  • 1Password(¥248/y) - Can use its autofill feature on iPhone.
  • XLocker($9.99) - Used to hide some apps on iPhone and iPad at appropriate times. Combined with shortcuts, it can achieve one-click hiding.
  • dama(¥12) - After using it, I found it very smart; it can automatically identify potential privacy information in your photos and automatically redact it. It can also help you process some sensitive information in photo metadata.

🌏 Network Tools#

  • AdGuard($18.37) - A tool for blocking ads, but I feel its effectiveness isn't very good; maybe I haven't configured it properly.
  • Surge 5($49.99) - Now used on both Mac and iPhone.
  • Shadowrocket - After switching to Surge, I abandoned it.

💪 Health Monitoring#

  • Apple Health - Used to record my daily steps and sleep time, but I'm not very concerned about this data; I just check it occasionally. Recently, I optimized the nap detection in sleep time, and the effect is really good.
  • Zepp Life - Formerly Xiaomi Sports, now mainly used to view data from my body fat scale after I stopped using the Xiaomi bracelet. (I later found out that this app also syncs weight data to Apple Health.)
  • fasty - Recently using this to practice Intermittent Fasting; the 16:8 method is super easy to achieve. For specific reasons to do IF, you can check out this article Fasting Record | Salted Bean Curd.
  • Waterllama($9.99) - Drinking water is an important thing that is easily overlooked.

Abandoned:

  • Apple Fitness+ - After subscribing to Apple One, I got this service, which replaced my previous use of Keep. However, the usage frequency is concerning. First, there is no Chinese version, and second, it's expensive, so I stopped using it.
  • Keep - The plan combined with skipping rope is actually quite good. I used to use it for fitness, but now I've stopped and switched to Fitness+. How should I put it? Keep is actually very suitable for beginners, but for someone like me who already has a certain foundation, it feels a bit lacking. I now arrange my own workouts and combine them with videos.
  • AutoSleep - An app for monitoring my sleep, I feel it has no meaning, and I have stopped using it.
  • Pillow - An app for monitoring my sleep, I tried subscribing for a year, but found that it didn't differ much from AutoSleep and the native Health app's sleep monitoring, so I stopped using it.
  • Pokemon Sleep - An app for monitoring my sleep while collecting little Pokémon's sleeping postures. (Although the sleep quality is still terrible) I abandoned it; I had to open it at a specific time every day, which was quite mentally taxing. Now I only keep Apple Health.

🤖 Smart Home#

After all, besides Xiaomi, I don't want to install other smart home software. So generally, when buying devices, I prioritize whether they support Xiaomi. Of course, the rice cooker supports Xiaomi, but it doesn't really help much.

  • 米家 - Used to control various smart devices at home, such as lights, air conditioning, and vacuum robots. However, with so many smart devices, it's a disaster when the internet goes down at home. (I heard it can be solved with a gateway?)

🛒 Shopping#

  • 多抓鱼 - I used to love buying various books that I would never read; now it's considered a luxury, and I no longer buy them to save money.
  • 京东 - I have always had a JD membership.
  • 拼多多 - I can go buy Switch cartridges, LEGO, and model kits when I need entertainment items.
  • 淘宝 - Mainly used to buy various odd items, such as Taiwanese books and various foreign region point cards.
  • 得物 - I have bought a few things. I don't quite understand why I would buy on this platform; the previous ones meet my needs.

📺 Video & 🎵 Music#

  • YT MUSIC(¥120/y) - Use with caution. There are too many complaints; when the proxy node is unstable, it disconnects directly. Generally, it's better to download it first, and some regions can't use it. However, I have now switched my music software to this because it has everything I want to listen to. I found that the recommendations and comprehensiveness of music are more suitable for me. I use a Taobao car that costs over a hundred a year.
  • YouTube - After opening a membership for MUSIC, there are no ads, and my usage has increased significantly.
  • 哔哩哔哩 App - I'm not a heavy video user; I only regularly watch four or five UP 主. (What is a premium membership?)
  • infuse($12.99/y) - Used to play video resources from Aliyun Drive. The interface is very nice, and when used together with Aliyun Drive, the effect is quite good.
  • 剪映专业版 - Used for video editing; combined with Samba, I can map animation videos from the Raspberry Pi to the computer for editing.
  • iina - A video player; I mainly use it to play local video files.
  • obs - A tool for recording the screen; I mainly used it to record gameplay videos from consoles in conjunction with streaming software.
  • 网易云音乐 - Used to listen to some music. There are indeed many songs in the two-dimensional music scene, and the comment section is great. The experience in China is better than YT Music. However, it often becomes grey due to copyright issues, which is a hard flaw, so I have now switched to YT MUSIC.
  • Apple Music - I was going to use it to replace the previously used NetEase Cloud Music, but some songs that I can't find need to be imported myself. I still don't want to open Apple One.

🎙️ Podcast Software#

  • Podcasts - I have deleted Ximalaya and only kept Apple Podcasts for listening to podcasts. Because I can find all the podcasts I listened to on Ximalaya on Apple Podcasts.
  • 喜马拉雅 - I used to love listening to the series on scientific voices during college, but the ads are really annoying.
  • 小宇宙 - Quite nice and elegant. Mainly used when subscribing to RSS.

📖 Learning#

  • 多邻国(¥40/y) - Used to learn Japanese; I feel like once I start, I can't stop. I check in every morning and evening. You can follow me through this link (but you need a national account to add~~).
  • xmind - A tool for making mind maps; I mainly use it to organize knowledge. It's an essential tool when reading books.

📰 News & Reading#

  • RSSHub - Allows many websites that do not support RSS to implement RSS subscriptions, and many routes can adjust subscription content through parameters.
  • Follow - I was lucky to get a beta testing qualification after becoming familiar with DIYgod on xlog; it replaced inoreader. It's not just about migrating RSS from Inoreader to Follow, but also migrating subscriptions from platforms like Telegram, YouTube, Bilibili, Pixiv, Twitter, etc. This is my review. You can also check my Follow homepage.
  • 豆瓣 - I always check ratings here before watching various works, but I have many works that I haven't marked after finishing. I always think about writing good reviews before marking, but I end up procrastinating until who knows when. This is my Douban homepage, where I mostly comment on ACG works.
  • 读库 APP(requires subscription to 读库) - Each issue of 读库 has some articles converted into audio by volunteers, which I listen to during my leisure time.
  • 微信阅读 - It's actually quite comprehensive, but for technical books, it's still a pain; technical books should be read in physical form or PDF. I generally use it to listen to novels or biographies.
  • xlog - I treat it as a cyber bar, occasionally opening it to check updates from other bloggers. I also write a bit myself. Many partners update their weekly journals there; reading their weekly journals feels like having a group of cyber neighbors.
  • hackernew - Undoubtedly a leading source of news for our industry, but occasionally, I can't stop scrolling once I start.
  • pinboard - Used to collect articles I'm interested in, and I also reflect on them there. Pinboard homepage.
  • 小红书 - Used to look at some life hacks, to supplement my dwindling common sense. However, I don't use it very often.
  • 知乎 - Used to look at some interesting questions, but I don't use it very often.
  • inoreader - RSS reader, because I got the beta testing qualification for Follow, I have already abandoned it.

🌟⭐️✨ Animation & Comics#

  • 萌娘百科 - The entries on Moegirl Encyclopedia are really interesting, haha. Mainly used to collect entries and read when bored.
  • Kindle App - Although the hardware is no longer used, I still keep it on my iPad to read comics; it's the app that takes up the most storage space on my iPad. (50G)
  • TachiyomiSY - The successor, the new generation king.
  • mox.moe - A very comprehensive comic source, allowing you to push comics to Kindle with one click; I rely on it to start reading comics on my iPad.
  • 蜜柑计划 - Used to track anime; the RSS subscription for AutoBangumi relies on it.
  • AutoBangumi - Automatically downloads based on RSS subscriptions; I basically rely on it now.
  • 哔哩哔哩漫画 - A place to regularly track comic updates, used frequently, and the interesting part is the comic bullet comments and others' comic reviews. If it were during the Android era, I would definitely use Tachiyomi instead of it. I have already uninstalled it; now I mainly use Tachiyomi again.
  • Tachiyomi - The ultimate comic reading software. I bought a dedicated device to launch Tachiyomi. However, now I only keep it to read once a month when I go home. It has been blocked~~.

🚗 Travel & 🍽️ Dining#

  • 美团 - Used for ordering takeout; I should really cook instead of ordering takeout~~.
  • 饿了么 - After opening Taobao's 88 membership, I haven't bought Meituan's coupons anymore.
  • Apple Maps - With a mindset of decluttering, I deleted Gaode, but I encounter many problems when using this; I need to see the situation.
  • 高德地图 - In the end, I switched back to it; now I mainly rely on it for hailing rides.
  • 嘀嗒出行 - Used for hailing rides, used more often when moving between cities.
  • Rond - An app used to record where I've been. The app is very elegant, and I currently really like it.

🕹️ Games#

Here I only list the games I'm currently playing and commonly used software related to gaming.

  • Steam - Mainly used for Steam verification; I rarely use it because the network is too laggy.
  • 崩坏:星穹铁道 - It's been half a year, and it feels like I'm spending the equivalent of two movie tickets each month to watch two movies. (Definitely not because of Huo Huo's influence~~.)
  • 绝区零 - After hesitating for a long time, I finally joined. (Later: Can't continue playing.)
  • 小黑盒 - Mainly used to check game durations on various consoles; in the past, I would also look at game reviews and buy games there.
  • 崩坏 3rd - Re-downloaded it and got a Truth Duck. It's already a game that doesn't belong to this era; the grind is too high. It seems I can only watch videos now.

➕ Others#

Some things I really can't think of a category for, so I'll put them here. Looking forward to categorizing them later?

  • CleanShot X - A screenshot software; I feel like I haven't used its advanced features, and it can also do simple editing while recording videos.
  • iTerm 2 - Used to replace the native terminal; mainly because it can set up a super elegant drop-down terminal. I previously wrote an article specifically about this.
  • MongoDB Compass - A client used to connect to MongoDB databases.
  • Raspberry Pi Imager - A tool for writing Raspberry Pi images to SD cards.
  • Wireshark - A tool for packet capturing, but I'm not very good at using it.
  • Zoom - A tool for remote meetings, but I rarely use it.
  • Applite - Now mainly used to manage various desktop applications on Mac uniformly. Although it's just a wrapper for brew, it has its unique advantages with GUI support.

Regular Checks#

I check for updates about once a month, with sources not limited to:

  1. Software on phones, computers, and tablets.
  2. Manga subscriptions on Tachiyomi (mainly checking for new comic artists).
  3. Subscriptions on inoreader.

Others:

  1. Mark the software subscription or one-time payment fees (may not be complete).
